Creier: Romanian Word Games

Creier brings together games for the mind, all of them played in Romanian. A new round every day, with real Romanian diacritics — ă, â, î, ș, ț — and words drawn from the dictionary.

THE GAMES

• Cuvântul — Guess the word of the day in 6 tries. Every guess shows you which letters are in the right place. • Fagure — Build as many words as you can from the day's seven letters. The centre letter must appear in each one. • Legături — Sort 16 words into the 4 hidden categories. Watch for the traps: some words look like they fit in more than one group. • Perechi — Match the archaic word to its modern equivalent and rediscover the language of an earlier Romania. • Obârșia — Follow a Romanian word backwards, language by language, to its origin. Play step by step, or bet on the whole chain at once. • Ițele — A board of letters hides the words of a theme. Drag across neighbouring letters to find them. One word names the theme and joins two edges of the board. • Sudoku — Fill the grid with the digits 1 to 9. A daily challenge, plus an unlimited mode with more variants and difficulty levels.
