THE GAMES SO FAR • Quinque - a daily word. One five-letter word a day, six guesses, and the same word for everyone. Free. • Tabella - a letter grid. Find words in sixteen letters, against the clock or without one. Free. • Duplum - 2048. Slide the tiles; equal numbers merge and double. Reach 2048, then keep going. Premium. • Cautela - minesweeper. Clear the field without touching a mine; the numbers say how many are near. Premium. • Novem - sudoku. Fill the grid so that every row, column and box holds one to nine. Premium.

The games take their names from Latin, each after what it's made of: five, a little board, the double, caution, nine. Arca is a chest - the thing that holds them, with room for more.

IN THE DETAIL • Quinque's marks are borders, not just colours, so they read in greyscale too. The new word arrives at midnight UTC — the same moment everywhere. • Tabella has three difficulties and three clocks — 3:00, 1:30 or none. Swipe through the letters or tap them. Its word list holds over 178,000 words, in British and American spelling. • Cautela comes in three sizes, and the first tap is always safe. • Novem has three difficulties, notes and undo. A wrong digit is marked, but never ends the puzzle. • Every game saves itself: leave at any point and carry on later.

PRIVATE Arca collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no code from any other company. Games, statistics and trophies stay on the device. The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
