Features & Capabilities

Guided breathwork and breathing exercises in one quiet app — not a menu of timers.

Prāṇa opens to one practice for right now, plus tools for sleep, cold, energy, focus, stress, release, and panic. Twelve free techniques with voice guidance, visuals, and an optional ambient atmosphere.

THE THRESHOLD The app opens to a single invitation: one practice, chosen by time of day and your history. Tap begin and breathe. No decisions in the way.

THE TOOLS Above the threshold, seven words for seven moments — Sleep, Cold, Energy, Focus, Stress, Release, Panic. Each opens the right practice in about two seconds. Sleep runs a composed wind-down toward bed; Panic opens with physiological sighs, then longer ground to stand on. Cold is power breathing and retention for resilience; Energy is Kapalabhati — short pumps, then fill, hold, and a slow release.

THE DEPTH Below the threshold, your record: time in practice, streak, longest hold, and a simple history of what you've done. Numbers without shame furniture.

ATMOSPHERE An optional ambient drone under the app. It breathes with you in session, stays quiet as a room tone, and steps aside when your own music is already playing.

TECHNIQUES, ALL FREE

• Box Breathing — equal 4-4-4-4 for focus and calm. • 4-7-8 Relaxation — classic ease into sleep and lower anxiety; cycles flow without interruption. • Resonance Breathing — slow breathing at ~5.5 breaths per minute for balance and HRV-oriented practice. • Physiological Sigh — double inhale, long exhale for fast stress relief. • Tummo — power breaths, empty hold, recovery across three rounds for cold and resilience. • Kapalabhati — skull-shining belly pumps, then fill, still hold, slow exhale. • Nadi Shodhana — alternate nostril breathing to balance the nervous system. • Bhramari — humming bee breath to soothe tension and anxiety. • Chakra Breathing — a seven-stage root-to-crown sweep. • Deep Release Breathing — a five-phase protocol for reset and processing. • Quick Release — the same arc, compressed. • Psoas Release — a longer somatic program for deep release.

GUIDED, NOT GUESSWORK Three visualizations — circle, wave, and ring — stay with each phase. Spoken guidance is on by default; switch to tones, or haptics only, in Settings.

BUILT AROUND YOU Adjust lung size to match your comfortable capacity. Choose from four color themes. Turn Atmosphere on or off.

NO PAYWALLS, NO SUBSCRIPTIONS Every technique, visualization, and feature is free.

Prāṇa is a breathing tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. If you have a respiratory or cardiovascular condition, consult your doctor before beginning a breathwork practice.
