Periodized Strength Programs
Weights come off what you lifted last time, and only from plates you own. Ask for 45 minutes and you get 45, rest included. Two thumbs down and a lift is gone.
Kinetics writes you a strength program for the gym you train in, then runs the session with you.
It works in blocks, so the program has a shape. Phases, the same main lifts week to week, and a split that matches how often you get in.
YOUR GYM, YOUR PLATES
Tell it what you have once. A commercial gym, a rack and a few plates in the garage, or a pair of dumbbells. It only programs what you can load, and it will never give you a weight you don't own the plates for. Save more than one gym and switch when you travel.
THE PROGRAM
Every week has an overhead pull, a row and a hamstring movement in it. The app checks before it hands you the week. Main lifts stay put through a block so you can see whether they moved. Rest between sets comes from the phase you're in.
Ask for 45 minutes and the session is 45 minutes, warm-up and rest between sets included.
What you lifted, how hard the sessions were, the lifts you rated up or down and the weight bumps you approved all go into the brief for next week. A lift that has stopped moving gets flagged and pushed toward a change. Your equipment, your session length and anything you've cut are enforced afterwards, whatever else happens.
IN THE SESSION
One exercise at a time, with the weight, reps and rest already filled in. Your last numbers for that lift are on screen. The rest timer keeps running when you switch apps. The plate calculator tells you what to put on the bar.
Change things while you're training. Ask the coach to swap a lift when the rack is busy, drop the weight, or turn it into a timed set. Tell it you're done with an exercise for good and it comes out of every session already on your schedule.
AFTER THE SESSION
Total volume, intensity, which muscles took the work, and any personal records with the estimated 1RM behind them. Volume and strength trends over weeks. Thumbs up or down on any lift, and two thumbs down retires it.
If you wear an Apple Watch, the session shows up in Apple Health and your heart rate goes into the report. Sleep and resting heart rate from Health build a readiness score you can look at before you decide how hard to go.
FOOD
Log a meal by typing what you ate or taking a photo of it. Calories, protein, carbs and fat against a daily target, with what's left in the day.
YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
No account and no sign-up. Your training history, profile and food logs live on the device. Generating a workout, talking to the coach and reading a meal photo send that request to Google's Gemini API to be processed, and nothing is kept there.
Kinetics Pro unlocks workout generation, the coach, and photo and text meal logging.
