User Reviews

Overall, users praise PCOS Polly for its ease of use, cultural-aware nutrition scanning, and robust PCOS tracking with a clean design. Recurrent concerns focus on the cost and paid subscription model, automatic charges during trials, and occasional app crashes. Some note scanner accuracy can be imperfect. Despite these drawbacks, many users find it valuable for managing PCOS when they can access it.
Pros
  • Easy-to-use and customizable features with a helpful chat option for quick questions.
  • Food/meal scanner provides nutritional information and can identify cultural foods, offering tailored improvement recommendations.
  • Comprehensive PCOS tracking including meals, period, mood, and symptoms, empowering users to understand and manage PCOS.
  • Clean, well-designed interface and supportive customer service.
Cons
  • Pricing and the paid subscription model are a frequent point of frustration, with many users wanting a free version.
  • Free trial often leads to automatic charges or unclear pricing, leaving users surprised by costs.
  • Stability issues, including crashes when opening the app, affect usability.
  • Scanner accuracy is not perfect and may vary in reliability.
  • Onboarding can feel gated by price or requires data entry before pricing is disclosed.

Underneath the Today’s Habits there is: Today’s workouts: In the top right corner of the section there is a little button that says log workouts with a little plus sign, click it and you’ll get a little pop up section that says: Log Workout: Activity: (and press choose activity and there will be a ton of different ones, that way you don’t to struggle to remember what the exercise you might’ve just done is called hahaha) Under activity there is: When (which is just where you put in when (date, time) you did the activity) Under that is: Duration: (how long you did that specific activity for) And then there is a little section under Duration called: Notes (you can add stuff like (and this is exactly what it says btw): specific exercises, pace, distance, how it felt, calories burned, etc,) I’m not sure if it gives you any advice once you log it as I haven’t done that yet, so you’ll have to find that out yourself, but it does show how la y colorines you burned and stuff) It also gives you an option to get a guided workout, click that button that says "guided workout” and it’ll take you to a little section that asks: How much time do you have today? And you can say: 15, 20, or 30 min And then it’ll ask: What equipment do you have today? And it’ll have options to click: No equipment; dumbbells; or gym access And then at the bottom there will be a button that says: Create workout! Click it and it’ll create a workout for you and it will give you exercises and there will be a button that says: begin guided workout at the bottom (Also, it says that rest period area included between exercises so don’t worry about figuring that out on your own!) Underneath "Today’s Workouts” is: Weight Progress: There will be a pink button that says: log workout, click it and it’ll take you to a little section that allows you to put in (I’m assuming that days) weight. That’s the home page!! The recipes page is next to it but I went over some stuff in it but I’ll just add this: You can search up stuff that is dairy free too I think. (This is the 2nd part of my review!)

Another app exploiting women’s health issues for money. You can’t even preview the app without paying for it. Very disappointing for many women who aren’t able to afford a subscription right now.
