User Reviews

Reviewers praise PCOS Pal for PCOS-focused diet guidance, easy onboarding, robust food tracking with recipes and a useful photo-logging feature, and responsive support, including occasional discounts or free access. However, the app faces major drawbacks: steep price with no lifetime option and no reliable free tier, a long onboarding sequence that gates access behind a payment, and occasional macro-tracking inaccuracies that require manual input. Overall, it is valuable for PCOS dietary management if affordability and onboarding friction are acceptable.
Pros
  • PCOS-focused guidance with personalized diet logging, meal planning, and grocery ideas.
  • User-friendly interface and easy-to-understand onboarding.
  • Strong food tracking features, including recipes and meal ideas with food recognition.
  • Helpful customer support and occasional deals/free access extensions.
Cons
  • Expensive pricing, lack of a lifetime option, and no free trial.
  • Lengthy pre-purchase questionnaire and paywall after answering questions, feel of bait-and-switch.
  • Limited access without subscription; affordability barriers for many users.
  • Macros input/inaccuracy requiring manual entry.

This app is so helpful for me in managing my PCOS/PMOS symptoms. I’m currently a college student and only got diagnosed a few years ago so using this app has helped me better understand my body without making me feel bad for being a little uneducated. Would recommend!!

I recently found out I have PCOS after years of struggling and not knowing why. Unfortunately, I do not have any family members or know anyone personally who has the same diagnosis which left me feeling lost and alone. This app has been a life saver when it comes to figuring out where to start so that I can work towards feeling at home in my body again. RUN don’t walk!! I also wanted to take a moment to say the creators of this app are incredibly kind and understanding. This has made me feel safe and even more inclined to trust this app when it comes to guiding me on this journey. Best wishes to everyone on their PCOS journey 💗

I loved it at first. Loved that you could scan foods and it would tell you what was good to have and what wasn’t. I originally downloaded the app because I have such a hard time finding the right recipes and finding stuff I love to eat while trying to manage inflammation and my weight and all the other issues associated with pcos/pmos. The meal planning sounded so good at first and loved there was new recipes added daily but WHY does everything have to be AI?! Any time I’ve ever used an AI recipe, it never comes out right. You can tell all the photos/recipes are AI because none of the photos match what you make (there’s an ingredient clearly in the photo, but no where in the recipe, and they look delicious in the photo but not after I make it) I can’t stand it because I’m just wasting food and money because I don’t like anything I make from this. There’s a few snacks and smoothies that are good but that’s about it. I know it’s cheaper and easier to use AI but I really want recipes that are actually made and tested by someone that knows what they’re doing.
