We’ve had the hot tub for a couple weeks now and have really enjoyed the experience. That all ended last Friday when I installed the Connected Spa hardware and got it connected to our home network. In the process, the spa firmware was updated and now the controls don’t do what they say they do and don’t do what they used to do previously The iOS application seems to have no control or correct feedback on how the spa is operating. I can’t more firmly express how disappointed I am in this interface. At the moment the app shows that it is Connected to the spa (green icon), the lights are 100%, and the jets are on high. Yet I unplugged the HNA unit last night in hopes of regaining control at the panel. The spa was shut down eventually at the panel. This app merely checks the box that says “yeah, we got an app for that” while it offers no functionality or true value to the paying customer.

This app works pretty well. The only issues are that when adjusting the Temperature (+/-) there is a noticeable lag. You have to waiting to see what, “heating to xx” says before adjusting it again to your target temperature. I would suggest allowing the user to adjusting the temperature and then a “submit” button the execute it. Secondly, for the lights, the color palette does not offer “white” as a color. But on the tub controls you can select white.
