User Reviews

Users generally find Rejsekort cheaper and easier to use than buying individual or printed tickets, especially for tourists. The app is praised for simplicity, usefulness for visitors, and group-ticket support. However, many reviewers raise serious concerns about privacy due to always-on location tracking, and report stability issues including freezes and crashes. Some also report difficulties signing up or adding family members, particularly when traveling with eSIM. Overall, the app offers a cost-effective, traveler-friendly ticketing option but safety, reliability, and privacy concerns remain common criticisms.

If you are a tourist, do yourself a favor and just get physical tickets so you don’t get scammed by this joke of an app. 1) Instructions in the app are so simple that they’re useless. If you did any prior reading online, you’ll read that you’re expected to check in with every new mode of transport. However, the app expects you to only check out at your final destination. If the expectations have changed or might be a source of confusion depending on whether you are using the app or not, it takes the addition of like 2 sentences to clarify this in the “how to travel with the app” instructions. Instead, the app focuses on making the instructions “look pretty” but they just lead to unanswered questions. They expect you to read the fine print Terms and Conditions to fully learn how to use the app. 2) The app expects you to be a perfect user, but somehow I need to mention that humans make mistakes or are unpredictable... The need to check out causes SO many problems. Why is it even a thing?? If you got a physical /-zone ticket, it lasts 75 minutes. If you get a ticket through the app, your ticket is gone as soon as you check out, but the expectation is to check out when you reach your final destination… So basically, if you suddenly decide to go somewhere else that would’ve been covered by your initial ticket, you have to pay TWICE if you used the app and already check out like you’re supposed to… If you thought you needed to check out for each new mode of transport, also enjoy double the price courtesy of Rejsekort. :) 3) The absolute worst part is, the app pretends to have a “contact” option and even gives you the option to select topic reasons such as “wrong price,” but when you contact them they basically just say they can’t do anything and it’s your responsibility to know it all. To summarize, Rejsekort looks easy to use but is a complete scam if you are not local and don’t know all the unexplained things. Rejsekort tracks your entire journey with location data and timestamps, but is incapable of actually using that data to implement simple conditional statements to charge the correct amount (IF zone is the same AND duration is under X, THEN no additional charge). If you get double charged, they kindly let you know that it’s just your fault. :) There are plenty of other public transit apps out there to serve as an example of a better designed system that also includes different prices for different zones, time durations, etc. but Rejsekort wants to reinvent the wheel and create a system that is infinitely worse for users and also its customer support representatives.

Convenient and easy to use for every mode of public transit: metro, s-bahn, bus, and boat. There are frequent trains and buses too.
