User Reviews

Users report a highly unstable experience with DSB’s Apple app, especially around payments, sign-in, and ticket integrity. Recurrent issues include payment failures and card support problems, frequent crashes and login loops, and tickets that disappear or reset counts after purchase. International users face account setup hurdles (missing country codes, foreign numbers rejected). The app also lacks features found in older versions (wallet saves, departure info, filters), contributing to a poorer overall experience. Customer support is often perceived as slow or unhelpful.
Pros
  • If it works, it lets you buy train tickets digitally and quickly.
  • Some reviewers note the app has usable UX in parts and is pleasant to use when not plagued by issues.
  • The app serves as a dedicated digital ticketing tool for Denmark rail travel.
Cons
  • Payment issues: Visa/AmEx rejection, difficulty adding cards, PIN requirements for non-European cards, and Danish-only payment options.
  • Frequent instability: crashes, frequent updates that prevent opening, login loops, and blank sign-in screens.
  • Tickets can disappear or reset (e.g., passenger counts) after purchase, leading to fines or lost travel.
  • Account setup and international support problems: missing country codes, foreign numbers rejected, and emails not recognized.
  • Missing features and degraded UX compared to older app: no wallet integration, no track/outage overview, poor search/filter behavior, and overall reduced functionality.

Got this app in preparation for an upcoming trip to Copenhagen but I have a United States phone number and the United States isn’t listed in the dropdown menu when setting up account phone number, so I couldn’t get very far.

Second day of using the app, trying to activate Pendler20, the app logged me out and when trying to log in back, it gets stuck in a login loop. So I am stuck too at the station not being able to travel with the ticket I had purchased.
