User Reviews

Users praise Bevel's AI-driven coaching, extensive nutrition tracking, and flexible data integration with wearables, plus its value for money and all-in-one wellness view. However, recurring problems include food logging inaccuracies and bugs that freeze the app, significant stability issues, and AI occasionally giving unsolicited or harmful advice or misinterpreting user data. Some users also note friction in the UI and navigation, especially around the meal timeline and overall usability after updates. Overall, Bevel shows strong potential with powerful insights, but reliability and AI behavior need improvement.
Pros
  • Powerful AI coaching with actionable insights.
  • Comprehensive nutrition tracking with automatic data integration from other health apps.
  • Flexible data source integration with wearables (Garmin, Helio/Amazfit, Apple Watch).
  • Rich data, metrics, and insights that help users stay accountable.
  • All-in-one wellness dashboard combining fitness, nutrition, and health data.
Cons
  • Inaccurate food scanning and logging, with calories often miscounted and servings not well broken down.
  • App instability: frequent freezes/crashes that prevent logging and disrupt use.
  • AI coaching can give unsolicited or harmful advice and misinterpret user data.
  • UI/UX friction: clunky navigation and readability issues, especially around the meal timeline.

This app is not free, but on Instagram, I saw a video of the founder and he said that it is free now, but it isn’t so that means he’s.

I use an Apple Watch and was considering getting a whoop. My friend has one and it gives much more indicators and analysis than my old fitbit and the Apple health app. I tried Bevel because i didn’t want another band on my hand. Note I fully understand if you don’t like to wear watches then the whoop is excellent at being light and giving tremendous insights. I found the insights from bevel and the Apple Watch to be equivalent to what my friend shared though there are differences and some items having more depth on each. I have GERD and am actively managing what i eat and simultaneously trying to eat all my daily healthy food allowances. I just started using the food tracking feature on bevel and it is a game changer. I can easily add foods via the bar code. I now track activity calories as well as consumption and proper nutrition along with health monitoring. And it integrates with Apple Health so liquids are accounted for (tracking my water intake which I won’t get enough of if not careful). Overall for me the bevel app subscription and Apple Watch are a better combination than other bands. One thing i do note on the food tracking is any little red meat gets a fast -10 mark, but you have to eat a wholr vegetable garden it seems to get a +10 for veggies. Has a vegetarian programmed this? Oh well, eating more veggies is good for my GERD anyway.
