I find that Brick is straightforward, easy to use, and not at all overwhelming! For me, the best part is the physical component. Once the set schedule ends, you have to actually get up and tap the phone to unlock it. Since it isn’t a passive timer that just hands back access, I find that this preserves our autonomy as adults. That simple physical act reminds us that the phone is just a tool under our control and I feel that it builds a genuine sense of discipline and self-efficacy which is what we need in order to have a healthy long term relationship with our phone.

I love the physical mechanism. Plus the app has the best options for what apps to block than any I’ve tried.

This app has made me so much more efficient at work/school and the amount of sleep I get now is crazy. I didn’t realize just how much of a crutch my phone had become until I got this. It’s a little sad how often I pick my phone up to realize I can’t use it. Also, I used to use the “Brick for X amount of time” feature a lot. It’s seems to have been removed. Please if you could add it back or make accessing it more obvious. This has been my only gripe. The use case is. It fulfilled by the schedule feature.
