Users appreciate Power of Vitality for its feature-rich health tracking and motivational potential, including workouts, education, and challenge content, and some use it to earn work incentives. However, recurring problems undermine its value: frequent data-synchronization failures with Apple Health and Fitbit; inconsistent step counts; widespread reliability glitches and slow performance; trouble importing/uploading data; and unresponsive or slow customer support. The user experience also feels dated and cumbersome, with navigation and UI issues that make it hard to find what you need. Overall, the app has potential but requires significant fixes to data accuracy, stability, and usability.

Recent reviews

As many others stated, this app still doesn’t track properly. You can hit all the steps or cardiac targets, about ready to go to the ER because you’ve worked out so hard, and boom, you get 5 or maybe 10 points. It’s always had bugs, but they increased about the time they started that weekly spin game. As I wrote in other reviews, it’s a shame that our employer requires we use this for a discount on insurance premiums. Most coworkers just try to hit the minimum and stop using it after that. I’ve spent time for years working with the developers and it’s such a waste of time. They don’t bother testing the changes that they implement, and they give the same canned response when you contact them or write a review. For employers considering the app, don’t. It’s junk.

I hate this app

The app doesn’t seem to accurately sync heart rate data anymore. As other recent reviews have noted, a 15 pt workout (45 min at 60% heart rate) now only counts for 10 (if at all). This then affects the monthly Apple Watch payment as well as other employer incentives. At first, Customer Service let me submit screenshots of the data from my phone and they manually adjusted the points. Now that isn’t even an option and they tell me to just be patient. It’s a great program but the weak link at the moment seems to be the app.
