User Reviews

The Panasonic Image App is plagued by persistent connection problems and slow transfers. Many users report failure to connect or dropped connections after updates, plus slow transfer speeds. Updates frequently break compatibility with iOS or older cameras, fueling a sense of abandonment. The UI is seen as outdated and setup is frustrating. While the app offers wireless transfers and some remote-control features for supported cameras, overall reliability is inconsistent, pushing users toward alternative transfer methods.
Pros
  • When it works, wireless photo transfers to iPhone/iPad are fast.
  • Long-standing compatibility across multiple Lumix models (e.g., GX85, ZS70, FZ1000 II) with years of use.
  • Supports remote control features for compatible cameras.
  • Offers a wireless workflow as an alternative to using a memory card reader when it connects.
Cons
  • Unreliable or broken camera-to-phone connection; many users report inability to connect or frequent connection drops after updates.
  • Very slow or inconsistent photo transfer speeds (long pauses, lengthy total transfer times).
  • Updates often break functionality or reduce compatibility with newer iOS versions or older cameras; perceptions of being abandoned.
  • Setup is difficult and the UI feels outdated, leading to a poor user experience.
  • Some camera models experience inconsistent behavior or cannot transfer data at all.
Recent reviews
While convoluted to setup, it used to at least mostly work. Now it freezes almost instantly and im lucky if I get ONE photo to transfer (iPhone 13 Pro Max). Sometimes it even transfers the wrong photo, and in every single instance it freezes forcing you to force quit and start the process over. A process that you know will likely end in failure anyway. How fun and what a great representation of your products.
