User Reviews

OXENFREE II: Lost Signals is praised for its mature, emotionally resonant storytelling, strong writing, stellar voice acting, and atmospheric visuals, often cited as a stronger sequel with rewarding branching paths. However, players frequently mention hurdles like Netflix-based access, a desire to buy outright, and mobile control frustrations. Technical hiccups such as crashes and glitches temper the experience, as do occasional slow loading and scene transitions. Overall, the game is beloved for its narrative depth, with caveats mostly around platform access and stability.
Pros
  • Engaging, emotionally resonant story with meaningful themes (grief, parenting, moving on) and strong writing.
  • Gripping, branching narrative with multiple endings and high replay value.
  • Excellent voice acting and well-developed, memorable characters.
  • Immersive atmosphere and distinctive art style that enhances the horror-adventure vibe.
  • Overall strong sequel that expands on the first game and ties its stories together.
Cons
  • Netflix sign-in requirement to play and a subscription-based model, with many players preferring to buy the game outright.
  • Mobile controls and UI can be finicky, with hard-to-hit action zones and occasional pathing issues.
  • Stability problems like random crashes, sound glitches, and other occasional bugs.
  • Loading/scene preloading and caching can be slow, impacting pacing between segments.

The game is so good I love it so much I wish there were other games like this. Not only is the story amazing but also is the gameplay.

Played through this one in a day! I couldn’t put it down. OXENFREE was fantastic and this was a perfect sequel. It tied up the cliffhanger ending and was somehow more meaningful than the first one. Thank you to the game developers for this. I hope your creative juices keep flowing!
