User Reviews
Pros
- Clear, structured progressions and skill-focused tracks that enable steady advancement (e.g., pistol progressions, muscle-ups).
- Strong progress tracking and motivation; logs reps/exercises and helps users move to the next level.
- Adaptive coach system with live feedback for easier/harder progressions (premium feature).
- Affordable, simple to use; good value compared to alternatives.
- Wide variety of workouts and skill progressions; suitable for beginners and experienced users; includes warm-up and cool-down sessions.
Cons
- Lack of customization: users cannot customize workouts or create their own programs (exercises, reps, sets, rest), and have limited ability to design plans.
- UI/formatting issues and device readability: screens sometimes cut off, app does not auto-fit well on small devices, making readability and data entry difficult.
- Coach algorithm and editing bugs: at times the coach suggests unrealistic workouts and the workout editor is buggy (edits shift things), plus coaching prompts can be hard to dismiss.
- Rest day scheduling limitations: users cannot freely choose rest days or easily recover missed workouts; scheduling and progression can feel inflexible.
- Subscription/value concerns: some users feel paid plans don’t always deliver proportional progress, and others would prefer a free option.

I love the tracking and skill progression workouts in this app. Very good for making progress in calisthenics and preventing injury.

Other calisthenics apps have you doing how their workouts are attended to be done but Thenics let you pick your own and it even let you pick 6 new skills you want to learn and it’s super affordable and simple
