User Reviews

Users find Physical Therapy: ACL & Knee to be a strong remote rehab companion, offering a structured, guided program with check-off progress and at-home knee flexion tracking. Many appreciate the responsive PT support and the wealth of educational videos. However, multiple reviews flag persistent UX/UI issues (day progression tied to completing every task, confusing navigation), reliability bugs (crashes, timers reset), and limited customization (cannot tailor intensity or duration to a doctor's prescription). Some users also note insufficient protocols for certain ACL repairs. Overall, it's helpful but imperfect and best used alongside in-person care.
Pros
  • Structured guided home rehab program with check-off progress tracking.
  • Accurate at-home knee flexion measurement and progress tracking.
  • Responsive PT support and direct in-app chat for questions.
  • Useful across surgeries (ACL recon, total knee replacement) and travel; remote rehab option.
  • Educational videos and articles that guide recovery alongside the exercises.
Cons
  • UX/UI/navigation issues: day progression tied to completing every task, making navigation confusing.
  • Limited customization: cannot adjust exercise intensity or duration to match a doctor's prescription.
  • Reliability bugs: app crashes or freezes; orientation changes reset timers; loading issues.
  • Limited protocols for certain ACL repairs (some procedures not fully supported, e.g., BEAR ACL).
  • Some users find initial setup and exercise explanations unclear.

Recovering from MPFL so the only feature I’ve used has been the flexion calculator. It’s been more consistent with its measurements than my pt, and helps me know my morning flexion as well as warmed up. Seeing the numbers move slowly but surely has been critical for my mental health over these long months. Before I found this app I would wait desperately between pt appointments wondering if my body was even doing anything.

The app provides the exercises and guidance I needed to recover from total knee replacement surgery while traveling. I find the chat feature especially helpful when I have questions about my recovery.
