User Reviews

Users find Food Sense Guide easy to use and highly comprehensive for food sensitivities, with strong list-building and cross-referencing features. But recurring complaints focus on misleading free access and premium gating, gaps in food coverage, and outdated resources, plus a desire for built-in symptom tracking that the app currently lacks.
Pros
  • Easy to use and user-friendly interface
  • Comprehensive, well-researched information on food sensitivities
  • Ability to create and manage custom lists of foods
  • Helpful cross-referencing of compounds and potential triggers
  • Valuable overall reference with extensive resources and data
Cons
  • Premium subscription gates core features and free-use claims mislead users
  • Incomplete food coverage; some items are missing or not listed (e.g., chickpea)
  • Resources and links can be outdated or broken
  • Lack of built-in symptom tracking and data gaps (e.g., certain health metrics)

The description of the app says that they have made it free to everyone. I could not find the single function on the app that did not require purchasing the app at the premium level. Very misleading.

The app is great. I like how it breaks down each food group and the food sensitivities with it. But I had purchased the full version, and now I can’t see any of the sub groupings.

So much information that I have found to be helpful to take my health to another level. I’m so glad I found this. I am on a journey to better health and I am so encouraged to start fasting more and try the supplements. The podcasts are so informative . Love love it . 10 out of 10!
