Metra COPS

Metra COPS is a free safety and security mobile app for riders that lets users report safety concerns directly to the police quickly and discreetly. Users can send text, photos, videos, and precise locations from a simple home screen, with two clear options: Report an Issue and Call 911. Reports can be sent anonymously, and the app disables the camera flash to protect privacy when capturing photos. Reports are designed to be efficient even with weak signals: messages can be stored offline and sent automatically when connectivity returns, and the system prioritizes text descriptions to speed up early situational awareness.

Additional features include BOLO (Be On the Look Out) alerts for persons of interest, missing persons, or other critical safety updates. The app supports Be On the Look Out alerts and immediate 911 connections; it promotes the motto See Something, Say Something. Designed for reliability in transit environments, Metra COPS helps riders contribute to public safety while keeping reporting discreet.
