User Reviews

User reviews highlight a paywall before exploration, a small database (about 400 foods) with missing ingredients and occasional data errors. Usability issues abound: diary entries not saving, recipes requiring external sites, and support that requires Facebook login. Some users prefer Monash University for more complete data, but a few note the app helps with a quick grocery list and has a large entry base. Overall, it’s seen as a decent but limited, underwhelming option for serious FODMAP planning.
Pros
  • Large database of entries.
  • Helps quickly build a grocery list.
  • Overall positive impression as a decent minimalist option for FODMAP information.
Cons
  • Requires a subscription to access features, with little transparency about what you get before paying.
  • Small food database (about 400 foods) and missing common ingredients.
  • Data accuracy issues and inconsistent entries (e.g., foods labeled as okay that may not be) and support friction (Facebook login to contact).
  • Usability problems: diary entries not saving, recipes requiring external sites, and support that requires Facebook login.
  • Pushy monetization and less value than alternatives like Monash University app.

You have to pay for a subscription before you can even see a demo or explore all the features. Why would I pay for an app before it’s clear what it does?

After one day. I cancelled subscription because it did not contain enough. The food list you couldn't speak or type in You had to go thru list which was limited. To view recipes. You had to go to a site that forwarded you an inside. So recipes could not be saved for later
