User Reviews

Users largely praise myPennMedicine for easy access to their care team, viewing results and medical history, and convenient appointment scheduling with up-to-date records. However, recurring concerns center on billing unpredictability and charges, messaging reliability and missing features, login friction, and some UX/navigation issues. Overall, the app is valued for communication and information access, but improvements in billing transparency, usability, and reliable messaging would enhance the experience.
Pros
  • Reliable access to the care team with responsive messaging.
  • Ability to view test results and keep track of medical history.
  • Convenient appointment scheduling and coordination with care visits.
  • Up-to-date, comprehensive medical records and information; easy to use.
Cons
  • Billing issues and unexpected charges for services.
  • Messaging reliability and missing features (no icon to message doctor, messages expiring, delayed responses).
  • Login friction and limited authentication options (EpicID by default, need to select Penn Username; lack of passkey).
  • Clunky UI/UX and navigation problems (hard to follow layout, navigation among procedures).

The myPennMedicine app has been very helpful to me. It make my life that much easier being sick when I can communicate with my team accessibilily without delay. The only thing that I can see that needs improvement is the turnover time to get a response and it can be a little difficult to find the specialist I need to see and make appointments with. Other than that the app is great.

The app was fine, but now I get a “Network connection required” error every time. I can’t log in. Changing various phone settings hasn’t fixed it. It’s the only app that gives me that error.
