Most reviews identify DrChrono OnPatient Portal as a tool intended for patient–doctor messaging and appointment verification, but it is plagued by (1) messaging problems (inbox loading, unread counts not clearing, cross‑platform syncing), (2) login/password bugs, (3) lack of effective support, and (4) a cumbersome UI with scheduling and data‑sync issues across app and web.

Pros

App is designed for patient communications with physicians.

Useful for basic doctor–patient communications as intended by the app.

Inbox shows blank or messages do not display despite a badge.
Unread message counts persist or can't be cleared even after reading.

Recent reviews

I’ve been in IT for 40 years. Most of my work has been data-oriented. I’m not impressed by this app. The positive aspect is that the data is there. The access to my lab results is bad. With several years of lab results, I need the app to have better organization and some search criteria. The ability to select the lab date would be sufficient. Changing the sort order to show the most recent results first would help. The other problem is the total lack of reports. I wouldn’t mind so much if the online version addressed these issues, but it’s not much better.
