User Reviews

Users generally praise Good Things Gratitude Journal for its simple, ad-free design and its effectiveness at fostering a daily gratitude habit. The strongest recurring positives are its ease of use, supportive mood-boosting focus, reminder nudges, and the ability to review past entries. The main recurring drawback is reliability issues after updates, with several reviews noting glitches and bugs (including notification badge problems) that the developers address, which slightly tempers otherwise strong sentiment.
Pros
  • Simple, minimalist design that makes journaling easy and non-overwhelming.
  • No ads in the free version and an overall non-invasive experience.
  • Helps build a daily gratitude habit and supports a positive mindset.
  • Reminders help maintain consistency and make daily practice easier.
  • Ability to view and reflect on past entries (memories) over time.
Cons
  • Bugs and instability after updates, including glitches, missing words, and difficulties sharing.
  • Update-related issues with features like notification badges (counts that can’t be cleared) and related UI quirks.
Recent reviews
This app used to be great. Now it’s super glitchy. It’s difficult to share via Text now and it’s even started missing words and cutting off responses. We’ve subscribed to ~ 4 years but are about to cancel.

Had tried some other gratitude apps but like this the best. Straightforward yet reflective. Provides a daily reflection which I find uniformly quite good and also assists you to print a summary PDF of your daily writings.
