User Reviews

Most reviews focus on harsh fare policies and privacy concerns rather than usefulness. Frequent complaints include an $8 on-board surcharge, aggressive location tracking, and opaque pricing. Users also cite unreliable or incomplete train-tracking information and weak customer support. A minority find the app easy to navigate and helpful for tracking trains, but recurring issues appear across reviews, signaling a need for policy changes, transparency, and reliability improvements.
Pros
  • Easy to navigate interface and easy ticket purchasing
  • Provides train status/tracking information
  • Some users find the app useful for tracking trains despite other issues
Cons
  • On-board activation surcharge / $8 penalty for not activating before boarding
  • Frequent location tracking / privacy concerns
  • Pricing is opaque and inconsistent (no clear fare breakdown; charges differ from planned fares)
  • Inaccurate or missing train information (track numbers not shown or updated late)
  • Poor customer support / account issues and unresponsive help

Where are the schedules? Can’t buy a ticket on this app for a trip tomorrow. Can’t find the time for departure in the future. If I’m trying to buy a ticket for an express and a nearby station in Westchester County the app doesn’t allow it. Total BS.

I have an 8$ charge on my account. I take the train 4 days a week for work. I’m exhausted and not spending another dollar. Idk why I have it. And I’m not gonna pay it keep getting in person tickets even tho it adds to my already busy early morning late night schedule. This is annoying. Reached out to customer service and nothing after a week.
