User reviews

Users appreciate IronVest's email masking and credit card autofill, with responsive customer support and a robust free version. However, recent updates have introduced many problems: broken autofill, confusing UI, compatibility issues with Chrome, data loss, and missing security features. Many users long for the older 'Blur' version and express frustration with poor usability and glitches disrupting workflow. Overall, the extension struggles with reliability and functionality after rebranding and updates.
Pros
  • Offers email masking and credit card autofill features that some users find useful.
  • Provides a free version with functionality appreciated by long-term users.
  • Customer support is responsive and helpful when contacted.
  • Was well-liked and functional under its previous branding as 'Blur'.
  • Allows managing multiple credit cards and autofill for quicker purchases.
Cons
  • Recent updates have severely degraded usability, with many features broken or missing (e.g., autofill, masked email generation).
  • New user interface is confusing, unintuitive, and hides important information.
  • Extension often becomes incompatible with Chrome updates, requiring manual reinstallations or resulting in the extension being disabled.
  • Frequent login issues, data loss, and overwriting of saved passwords causing frustration and distrust.
  • Lack of important security features such as functioning two-factor authentication, with no clear resolution timeline.
Recent reviews
Subject: Feedback on Recent Extension Update Dear Ironvest Team, I appreciate the introduction of the new security features in the extension; however, I have some concerns regarding usability. I noticed that the autofill functionality for usernames and passwords is no longer available, which has become quite inconvenient. Additionally, the extension no longer appears when I right-click, requiring me to manually click on it to retrieve my credentials, which disrupts my workflow. Moreover, I find myself having to input my password each time I need to copy a password, making the process rather repetitive. I preferred the functionality of the previous version. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on these issues. Thank you for your attention.

Agree with others, this used to be an really nice extension and worth the money. Currently its completely broken for me and buggy as hell on chrome. Very disappointed. Will need to transfer all my accounts to a new service when my subscription is up.

Been using this for YEARS and loved the app/ext when it was Blur. I had the $100 year premium plan. After the "change" to Iron Vest it went downhill, but was still pretty functional so I down graded to the plus plan for $40 a year. Since the update early 2025, I won't be renewing when it's up in September. It went from a 4-5 star to a 1 star at best. New UI is confusing as hell. Ended up changing passwords on existing accounts more than I care to admit. That turns into having to log into the dashboard, correct the password back to what it was. (hoping I remembered what I had used in the first place.) It used to auto fill like a champ, now it hardly does it at all. Even worse, most sites seem to block the app whenever I try to mask an email address. I just get this little flash of the new UI and it goes away. Sooo, have to open the dashboard, generate a new masked email, copy paste etc. It's not worth using anymore. I checked all my settings for security to be sure it wasn't "me" and nah, it's the app. Too bad. The mobile version always sucked and never auto filled anything...but I didn't mind doing the extra digging the few times I had to use it.
