User Reviews

Users appreciate the app's clean design, ease of use, and effective tracking for the 5/3/1 program without subscription fees. However, common complaints include limited customization to exercise order, a fragmented pricing model with multiple in-app purchases, timer and notification limitations, and scheduling bugs. Several users request features like supersets and better assistance exercise control. Overall, praised for functionality and interface but could improve flexibility and pricing approach.
Pros
  • Clean, intuitive, and user-friendly interface making the app easy to use.
  • Good for tracking 5/3/1 workouts and progressive overload effectively.
  • Offers several 5/3/1 templates with options for customization.
  • No subscription fee, with reasonably priced one-time payments.
  • Helpful and responsive developer support for bug fixes.
Cons
  • Limited exercise customization such as inability to swap exercise or assistance order without reprogramming.
  • Pricing model involves multiple separate purchases for features rather than a single pro fee, which some users find confusing or expensive.
  • Timer and notification features are limited and do not always function unless the app is open.
  • Scheduling issues with rescheduling workouts causing date conflicts or order problems.
  • Lack of features like supersets or ability to adjust assistance work within routines.

Great concept and format. However, it is only two stars as you have to complete the workout in the order provided. You cannot swap exercise order as equipment is available (e.g. deadlift before OHP in the Full Body). You also cannot swap order of assistance without going all the way back to settings (e.g. if you have Biceo Curls and Tricep extensions as accessory, you cannot do the tricep extensions first, without reprogramming the whole workout). If this was corrected, I would give it 5 stars.

Great app when it's working, exactly what you need for progressive overload. However, the app keeps deleting my weights on my accessorys. I've saved them 4 times now, then they'll just randomly disappear after a week or so which is extremely frustrating as it's stopping me progressing. Please fix this issue
