PaisaSync: UPI Expense Tracker

PaisaSync (also written Paisa Sync) is an automatic expense tracker built for how India actually spends. It reads your bank and UPI transaction SMS on your phone and turns them into a categorised expense log — no manual entry, no bank login, and your transaction data stays on your device.

── ZERO MANUAL ENTRY ──
The moment a transaction SMS arrives — HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, Kotak, GPay, PhonePe, Paytm and more — PaisaSync parses it on your device and files it as a categorised expense. UPI, credit card, debit card and net banking are all captured. You never link a bank account, never share an OTP, never type in an amount.

── YOUR SPENDS STAY ON YOUR PHONE ──
All SMS parsing, categorisation and storage happen locally, in an on-device database. PaisaSync does not use financial data aggregators. Your transaction history is never uploaded to our servers. Your expense tracking works offline, even without an internet connection — on the metro, on a flight, on two bars of signal.

── BUILT FOR INDIA ──
Most expense tracker and budget apps are built for card-first countries and ask you to log in to your bank. India runs on UPI and SMS alerts. PaisaSync is a money manager designed around that: it reads the SMS your bank already sends you, so tracking your spending costs you zero effort.

── WHY WE ASK FOR SMS PERMISSION ──
PaisaSync requests SMS access for exactly one purpose: to detect bank and UPI transaction alerts and turn them into your expense log automatically. Parsing happens entirely on your device. No SMS content is ever uploaded, shared or sold. You can review or revoke this permission at any time in Android settings, and the app keeps working with manually added transactions.

── WHAT ACTUALLY TOUCHES THE INTERNET ──
We would rather be precise than say "100% offline" and be wrong. Three things use the network: signing in with Google to identify your account, ads in the free version, and app updates. Your transactions, balances, budgets and spending history are not among them — they stay in the on-device database.
