At National Grid Electricity Distribution, we provide the power to 8million homes and businesses in the Midlands, South West and South Wales. Our new Customer Support App enables customers to report power cuts and access additional support.


With this app you can:
- Use our Power Cut Alarm feature to notify you in the event of a power cut. Simply connect your device to its charger, open the alarm feature in the app and set the device to sleep whilst leaving the app open on the screen. If your device stops receiving power, an alarm will sound.

- Join our Priority Services Register (PSR) which enables us to support any vulnerable customers in the event of a power cut.

- Register addresses of interest, and receive notifications of reported power cuts in these areas.

- Send reports directly to us at National Grid Electricity Distribution.

They just don't want us to see a national map. I wonder why? The map was useful to see a developing pattern. The old app says it is no longer working. Not true, but it only lists outages in time order by postcode. Clicking on an incident then brings up a local map. This app might be OK to report a cut but the old app never showed the cuts we were experiencing correctly so I expect the same from this one.
