Stint

Stint turns volunteer scheduling into something as straightforward as pinning a sticky note to a corkboard. Designed for community organizers, soup kitchen coordinators, and animal shelter planners, it helps you post open shifts and see exactly who is helping this week. The Board tab gives you an instant overview with three wooden-block counters showing your upcoming shifts in the next seven days, how many open spots still need a volunteer, and the number of unique volunteers scheduled. A prominent Add Shift button sits right at the top so you can create a new time slot in seconds. The Shifts tab holds your full list, fully searchable by date or volunteer name, and you can swipe any entry to edit the details or remove it entirely. When you add a shift, a simple form lets you pick a date, choose a time block like “Morning 9-12,” select a role such as Server or Greeter, and optionally assign a volunteer name right away. Leave the name blank and that shift stays visibly open on the board until someone claims it. Every shift appears as a pastel sticky note pinned with a realistic pushpin, so the whole week feels as warm and familiar as a community corkboard. The Volunteers tab automatically collects every distinct helper name from your shifts and shows you how many shifts each person has, with a tap to see their personal filtered list. Past shifts gain a subtle translucent overlay and a small paperclip mark, so you can still scan what has already happened without clutter or checkmarks. All your scheduling data lives solely on your device, which means your roster stays private, works offline, and never requires an account or internet connection. The interface uses large, friendly touch targets that are easy to work with while you are on the move or talking with volunteers. There are no subscriptions, no cloud sync complications, and no barriers between you and a perfectly organized week. Download Stint and pin down your volunteer schedule today.
