YouTube/Twitch Enhancer Firefox

YouTube/Twitch Enhancer

By: C4rcer Add-on
One extension to improve YouTube and Twitch ✓ Block channels & remove Shorts ✓ Custom shortcuts & playback profiles ✓ Transcripts & subscription folders ✓ Twitch chat overlay & auto claims ✓ SponsorBlock, DeArrow, RYD ✓ Everything runs locally

Features & Capabilities

Take back and level up both YouTube and Twitch, all locally in your browser.

YOUTUBE Block entire channels: right-click any video, use the injected item in the video's 3-dot menu, or add channels by handle, URL, or name. Every upload disappears from home, search, subscriptions, the sidebar, and end-screen suggestions. Hide videos by title keyword and comments by comment keyword: words, phrases, or /regex/ patterns. Remove Shorts everywhere, and hide already-watched videos past a progress threshold with per-surface control and a persistent local watched history. Transcript and chapter workspace: search the video's transcript, jump to any line, navigate chapters, and copy or export the text. It reads what YouTube already rendered; no extra requests. Subscription collections: sort subscriptions into colour-coded local folders and filter the Subscriptions feed by folder, without touching your real subscriptions. Player tools: default playback speed with hotkeys and per-channel memory, audio compressor, A-B loop, frame screenshots, volume boost to 500%, auto max quality, and cinema mode. Never pause me: automatically dismisses the "Video paused. Continue watching?" prompt. Optional: keep autoplay off and auto-expand the description. Opt-in community data (all off by default): SponsorBlock auto-skips crowdsourced segments with per-category control, progress-bar markers, thumbnail badges, and segment submitting and voting; DeArrow replaces clickbait titles and thumbnails; Return YouTube Dislike restores the dislike count. One add-on instead of four. Extras: clutter removal (promos, Mixes, news shelves, members-only and paid videos).

TWITCH Block channels, whole categories, tags, and title keywords, and hide reruns. Auto-claim channel points, drops, and Moments in the background without interrupting the stream you are watching. Player resilience: recoverable player errors retry automatically with a visible, cancellable status; a Live button and delay indicator keep you at the edge; VOD and clip seek steps are configurable. Chat overlay: watch in theater or fullscreen with chat floating over the player; adjust opacity, width, font size and placement, or make it click-through. Organise the sidebar: pin favourites on top, group followed channels into collapsible folders, and search them instantly. Hover previews show a live thumbnail. Chat: BetterTTV, FrankerFaceZ, and 7TV emotes with a searchable picker and Tab-completion, keyword highlighting, word/user blacklists, alternating shading, show deleted messages, anonymous mode, and performance tools for busy chats. Player tools: pin source quality, volume boost, audio compressor, cinema mode, screenshots, uptime display, speed hotkeys on VODs and clips, one-click clip sharing to chat, and clip downloads as MP4.

EVERYWHERE Make it yours: bind keyboard chords, extra mouse buttons, or the scroll wheel over the player to any action, from seeking and speed to screenshots and the chat overlay. Conflicting or browser-reserved shortcuts are caught in the editor. Playback profiles: save speed, volume boost, quality, captions, and compressor as named profiles and apply them globally or per channel; the player shows which profile is active and why. Safer settings: search, Basic and Advanced views, light/dark themes, named presets, import preview with selective merge or replace, an automatic backup before any reset, and a seven-day undo for destructive list changes. Stay in control: every block has an Undo, and a master switch pauses each side instantly. Works on Firefox for Android too.

Private by design: everything runs locally, with no accounts, no analytics, and no servers run by this add-on. Features that talk to community services are labelled in settings and easy to turn off: emote lookups (BetterTTV, FrankerFaceZ, 7TV), SponsorBlock (only a hashed video-ID prefix is sent, never the video ID itself), DeArrow, and Return YouTube Dislike. Optional Firefox Sync stores your block lists and folders through your own Firefox account. Diagnostics are redacted and never include titles, URLs, or chat text.
