YouTube Keep Playing is a lightweight Firefox extension that takes care of YouTube’s inactivity interruptions, so your music, playlists and long videos can keep playing without you having to come back and click “Continue watching”.

Put on a playlist, start a long video, work, game, cook, relax… and let the extension handle the annoying interruption for you.

And your pause button is still yours. If you intentionally pause a video, YouTube Keep Playing leaves it paused. Playback is only resumed when the extension detects a recognized YouTube inactivity confirmation — simply finding a paused video is never enough.

YouTube Keep Playing has:

no telemetry no analytics no account no backend service no remote code no automatic diagnostic uploads

Your diagnostics and statistics stay locally in Firefox.

The extension does not intentionally store or transmit video titles, watch URLs, browsing history, playback positions, cookies, authentication data or account identifiers.

It only requests the Firefox storage permission and access to: https://www.youtube.com/*
