Falsyn: Return to Yourself

Falsyn is a simple but powerful awareness tool designed to help you see the space between your impulses and your reactions, and gradually expand that space through micro-tasks.

Throughout the day, we experience many of our behaviors as conscious choices. But often, a thought, a notification, boredom, anger, fear, a habit, or an impulse we are not even aware of has already taken over.

Falsyn does not try to stop this automatic flow. It does not fight it. It creates one small interruption a day.

That interruption comes through very simple tasks: looking into the distance, pausing for a moment, observing your surroundings, noticing a sensation in your body, or simply seeing what is there without trying to change anything.

The task is simple because the task itself is not the point. The point is to step out of the mind’s stream for a moment and notice that small space before reaction.

It is difficult to see an impulse while you are fully inside it. Falsyn creates a small distance between you and the impulse. As this distance is repeated, you begin to catch yourself sooner.
