CSOB SmartToken is a mobile security app for ČSOB clients that acts as a two-factor authentication (2FA) tool for electronic signatures and login to ČSOB online banking. Each generated code is unique and time-limited. Activation requires an identification number, PIN and a unique activation key received by SMS or obtained at a ČSOB branch or Infoline. After activation, the app can be used offline.

The app supports Android 9.0+ and is available in English and Slovak. For security, it does not run on rooted or modified devices, and you should never share or enter codes on sites or apps not belonging to ČSOB. The bank will never ask you to send or share codes.

Good app. However, in order to activate it, it is required to call the customer service and get an activation code. The problem is that almost no one speaks English, and the agent always says that an english speaking colleague will call, but no one ever does. I tried several times. The process should be automated. Really frustrating and tempted to cancel my csob credit card once and for all.
