Save To The Wayback Machine

[Discontinued] Quickly save web pages to the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine and see the last time your current page was archived.

Save To The Wayback Machine is a discontinued Chrome extension that allowed users to quickly save web pages to the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. It provided features such as detecting whether a page was archivable, saving pages, images, and links via the right-click context menu, viewing the last archive date for pages, and tracking the number of saved pages.

Though no longer maintained, users are encouraged to switch to the Internet Archive's official Wayback Machine browser extension for continued support and functionality. This extension was unofficial and not sponsored or endorsed by the Internet Archive. The source code and release history remain available on GitHub for transparency.

Extension safety

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
