User Reviews

Users praise Pushbullet for easy cross-device sharing of links and notes and for daily-use reliability, including an auto-copy feature. But multiple reviews highlight recurring problems: sign-in/login issues hindering setup and use; the extension often fails to send/open links between Firefox and Android; it breaks after Firefox updates; device-management glitches (adding/removing devices and duplicate notifications); and limited support in private browsing. A few also note missing iPhone support and a paid subscription, but the core concerns are login, sync, and browser compatibility.
Pros
  • Easy cross-device sharing of links/notes between desktop and Android.
  • Reliability for daily use and long-term use.
  • Quick setup and ready to use within minutes.
  • Auto-copy/clipboard sharing feature between devices.
Cons
  • Sign-in/login issues hindering setup and ongoing use.
  • Failure to send/open links between Firefox and Android.
  • Extension frequently breaks after Firefox updates.
  • Device management glitches (adding/removing devices and duplicate notifications).
  • Does not work in private browsing.

This is cool, but, hey dev, you should add a function to let users use the service with no admin rights, I'm sure it's feasible, even if it's less cool than having the admin rights on a PC. I just want to send links and pages to my Android.

Everyone who is saying this no longer works, you have some adblocker or tracker blocker preventing access to the site. I had to turn off Nord VPN's ad and tracker blocker and it worked immediately

Pushbullet makes it effortless to send links and notes between my computer and Android. I love the auto-copy feature. It lets me type on my computer and instantly paste on my phone. I enabled it with with Android Settings → Automatically copy links & notes. Pushbullet still works and the Android app was updated in August 2025, as of writing this

Is Pushbullet Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Pushbullet requires very minimum permissions.
