User Reviews

The add-on enables PC access to Google Messages with Android sync and is praised for faster keyboard-based typing and cross-device use. However, reliability issues are common: QR code sign-in often fails or is blank, login persistence is inconsistent, and MMS/long messages aren’t supported. Some users view it as a convenient bookmark rather than a true add-on, with privacy-mode quirks and occasional UX drawbacks. Updates to Google endpoints help, but overall reliability remains variable.
Pros
  • PC access to Google Messages with syncing to Android devices
  • Keyboard-friendly messaging on desktop with faster typing and larger text (also supports drag-and-drop)
  • Generally practical and useful for some users across devices
  • Keeps up-to-date with Google Messages web endpoints
Cons
  • QR code sign-in is frequently unreliable or blank (including in private mode)
  • Remember this computer/login status is not retained, requiring regular re-sign-in
  • Lacks MMS/long-message support, limiting message length and features
  • Feels more like a bookmark to the Google Messages site than a full Firefox add-on
  • UX can be inconsistent (separate pop-up window, privacy mode issues)

This is a must for Android users on a desktop. And replaces the need for Phone Link if you're using Windows. Only major problem is it does not enlarge photos correctly when you click on them. Once this is fixed, an easy five star app.
