Striped candy canes & peppermints are so pretty! Peppermint candy is enjoyed year round, but it's the most popular during December. Candy canes are often used as Christmas tree ornaments. The traditional white canes striped with thick red & thin green stripes are my favorites to use on our tree. They are made in so many flavors and varieties now! Hershey's makes chocolate ones. Recently, I saw (and bought) cranberry, butterscotch, and root beer flavored ones. And the colors! You can find them in every color of the rainbow. When my children were little, it was hard to keep them from eating all of the candy canes off of our tree! Finally, I started buying extra canes to replenish the tree with.
