SAMAR Applicant - Support Remote assessment for SAMAR Certification

The SAMAR Applicant App is the official field mobile application of the SAMAR programme, jointly administered by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Quality Council of India (QCI). It enables Enterprise SPOCs to support remote assessments by capturing required pictures and Parameter Evidence as directed by the Assessor and provides access to relevant assessment details. The app is designed to function without an internet connection at the assessment site and synchronises the captured data with the SAMAR system once connectivity is restored. Application submission, payment, certificate download, and other related activities are managed through the SAMAR system.


Key Features:

Applications Overview: First, log in while online. Then, capture the required pictures at the site even without internet connectivity. All pictures are stored securely on the device until synchronised.

Application & Assessment tracking: View all applications, their status, and relevant assessment details in one place.

Scheduling and meeting link: View the confirmed assessment schedule and the meeting link for coordination with the assessor team.

Capture Site Picture & Tour: Record required Site Pictures and Site Tour as directed by the Assessor observations directly from the device camera, with the required camera, location and storage permissions.

Profile and support: View your profile and access the SAMAR support team details.


Who Can Use the App?

The SAMAR Applicant App is for authorised representatives of enterprises registered under the SAMAR programme, including Enterprise Admins and Unit Admins. Access requires valid SAMAR credentials. Logging in on a device ends any existing session on another device. Unauthorised use is prohibited.



How It Works:

1. Log in: Sign in with your registered SAMAR credentials.

2. View your applications: Open the home screen to see every application and its current status.

3. Upload site pictures: Open the application and record site tour and site pictures as directed by the assessor.

4. Synchronise: On regaining Internet connectivity, synchronise the recorded data with the SAMAR system.

About the SAMAR Programme:

System for Advanced Maturity Assessment and Rating (SAMAR) is a benchmark to measure the maturity of defence manufacturing and service enterprises. Developed by the Quality Council of India (QCI), the certification is applicable to start-up, micro, small, medium, and large enterprises.

SAMAR is an outcome of the collaboration between Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Quality Council of India (QCI) to strengthen the defence ecosystem in the country with an objective to further the vision of making India self-reliant in defence manufacturing and services.
