Open in Vivaldi

Open current page, link, or all tabs in the Vivaldi browser.

Open in Vivaldi is a Chrome extension designed to seamlessly open your current tab, individual links, or all browser tabs in the Vivaldi browser. It eliminates the hassle of manual copy-pasting by instantly sending links to Vivaldi. If Vivaldi is already running, links will open in a new tab; otherwise, a new Vivaldi window is launched.

The extension requires installing a small native client to facilitate communication with Vivaldi. Step-by-step video tutorials for Windows, Linux, and Mac simplify this setup. Additional features include support for managed storage allowing domain admins to configure preferences, and flexible link sending methods via clicks and keyboard combinations.

Although unrelated to Vivaldi Technologies Inc., this independent extension provides an efficient workflow for users who prefer Vivaldi as their main browser.

Extension safety

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Open in Vivaldi requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.
