Summary

This extension just adds the hostname of the current page (i.e. www.google.com) to the page title. This is useful if you use tools which match the title of your window like KeePassX.

It now also adds the Protocol (HTTP/HTTPS/...) to the title.

This extension is open source and you can find the source code here: https://github.com/paul-schulze/chrome_extensions#hostname-in-title

User reviews
Unfortunately, it does not work anymore since Chrome no longer shows the protocol in the address bar. Was previously used for KeepassXC and had worked very well.

Worked great, until I used this on more than one machine. The hyphen preceding the browser name differs between systems for some reason. This breaks auto-type if I don't use an extra wildcard.

Works great, thanx! (By the way, HTTPS-hint added.)
