There had been promising references to this and I decided to try it out. The .deb install is broken (and even after manually installing some dependencies, installs the whispering as "app", and fails to find the several microphones available. So I tried this extension and it is similar. Fails on microphone. So I tried the website version, and that detects and uses the microphone, but fails when talking to the docker whisper server. It really needs automated testing to check this stuff out before pushing a release. I guess you use a Mac Braden.

Doesn't appear to work anymore. It installs alright, but the microphone button doesn't work. It's completely unresponsive. When I got into the Options menu for the extension, I get the following settings error: {"_tag":"WhisperingError","variant":"error","title":"Whispering settings not found","description":"Local storage does not contain Whispering settings."} Love the idea, and hope the developer gets it working!

Very useful, thank you. Feature request: Allow me to drag & drop a mp3 to get a transcript of it on the app dashboard. Would be great.
