The extension working well on Chrome but not on Brave (that is based on Chromium)... The STT model is fast and accurate, probably based on whisper from OpenAI But for the TTS, now than since months chatgpt add the read aloud functionnality WHY but WHY this extension do not use it!!! The chatGPT voice are 100x better than any microsoft or google voice... Besides these 2 points (the 2nd one is an easy update I guess), it could have be perfect!

It works, you get a ton of options free and at no expense with an option to upgrade, but it's not to gatekept. UI is solid, easy to use. Response is good. I like it.

It was working normally until around September 20, 2024, but with the update on September 24, 2024, the Japanese voice playback accent became strange. The playback speed is 150% and is Google Japanese (jaJP). Instead of speaking clearly, I started speaking in strings like in English. It's not very nice to hear.
