Updating this as the bug is still happening (this morning)
Since the 2nd time this happened, its occured on:
- New computer
- New computer and literally fresh everything else (google email etc)
Outside of the window spam, the app is nice, but 2 years of this is insane. Why can't the option to re-auth just be an in-app notification that when you go to see who is streaming the app tells you that it needs to re-auth with Twitch to continue???
"In Aug 2023 I said the following "When it tries to re-authorize it brings up a new window every 20s or so and does not stop generating these windows" The response I got was "I haven't released a new version for a while so i'd say that wasn't part of anything new from me"
And in Oct I reported the problem again via email and was told to check if I was on 4.2.1 (current version at the time, which I was) so I removed the extension. I put the ext back a few months later in Jan and things have been fine since until I get home today to chrome force stopping an app and I had 250 windows open.
Its on the latest version. I only use this extension, shazam and ublock. Its not an interference thing as the issues of last year it was the only extension installed and no problems until today.
The only other thing I can say is that I never had to do a re-auth until today from my reinstall back in Jan, before it was a monthly thing, about ready to give up on this extension
June 16/24: Is this freaking dev for real. I said the only reason I don't get it is because it never asks to authorize anymore. Guess what I woke up to this morning? Its a new computer. The first line LITERALLY SAYS "Reposting cause previous problem still persists"
only just downloaded it but i love it already and its the most updated one so far! only thing id love is a toggle for viewers high to low, low to high, etc. Also, a refresh button, and a the other commenters said, the notifications thing not working otherwise is pretty great so far
