Persistent Highlighter

Persistent Highlighter is a useful Chrome extension that allows users to highlight text on any webpage. The tool not only allows highlighting, but it also stores the URL and the highlighted text in local storage for future reference. The dual functionality of allowing highlighting and storing information makes this extension an excellent tool for research, studying, or just keeping track of favorite quotes. The extension even allows searching previous highlights by word, facilitating quick access to saved information. Persistent Highlighter currently has some limitations with working on Disqus comments and other similar websites, but efforts are underway to resolve these issues.
