2024-06-21	Ja*****	Horrible app for me right now, but ok if you can get it working. Since I got a new phone (Android), the app doesn't open. My phone gives the message "m-tickets keeps stopping". Big pain because you NEED to buy a ticket if you want to use Edinburgh trams and there are very few tickets machines, which sometimes are also broken. For me, this isn't working at all.

For years, I have used this app, experiencing only minor glitches, which were irregular and tolerable, for the option to pay by phone app instead of using a credit card. Now, attempting to use or purchase tickets is not possible, one just gets a blank screen. I've awaited for updates for months before I took to writing this review. Instead, we have a number of tickets soon to expire and no solution in sight. Clearly, the developers have given up!

2019-11-30	A *****	This app is incredibly slow & always crashes when you open it, this happens almost every time you get on the bus - the app stats opening then just disappears, or opens & crashes & you then have to restart the app & wait until it's started up again (& it takes ages as it's very slow to start). I curse the app regularly whenever I get on the bus & have to stand there like an idiot waiting for it to start. For comparison, the equivalent ticket app for buses in Brighton doesn' crash & opens quickly.

2019-08-13	A *****	Fails when you need it most, constant issue of it saying unable to connect to server over 4G connection unlimited data, uninstalled reinstalled keeps failing. Also crashes constantly, just as you get on the bus app crashes, then can't connect to server. Also seems to use tickets as well without selecting, lost 2-3 tickets over the course of 6 months. Find it amazing how such a simple purpose app can have such huge flaws, reverted back to change as it's just so unreliable. WHY is this not fixed!

Tried restarting phone and uninstalling then installing the app again but it wouldn't work. At all. It's probably just easier to but a car, drive to the bank, set up an account, transfer some money from a different bank then take it out as change to use on the bus than to try and use this app.

It has some issues however: - start up is very slow, I've missed buses as a result - it crashes pretty often, so check that it's still running - the ticket dispay order is very inconvenient

Minimum buy is just a way to rip you off for extra cash because tickets expire if not used. Maybe as a frequent bus user, that's fine, but if you use infrequently, you previously had to load 10 quid for a single journey. That's now down to 4 I see but in this day and age, we should be able to tap pay as and when we like.

2019-06-27	A *****	The content of the app is fine, it's functional but it randonly crashes all of the time, often when opening from a sleeping state. I have used a couple of different android phones and its the same on them all. The outcome is that I have to hold up the bus as I wait for the app to restart and face an annoyed driver.

Rest of the time it's slow, or hangs, animated text is static, worse still - crashes and rebooting phone is only solution. Many a bus missed. Edit: after using this for 6 months it's awful. Because of where i live and East Coast Buses ticketing system; it's the only option for me. Actually considering changing jobs because it's so bad. Absolutely life-changing in the worst way. Whoever designed this is incompetent.

2019-06-09	A *****	They really need to fix the reliability of this app – i have a midrange android phone, a moto G5 with plenty of space on it, and it regularly fails to start up, crashes, or gives me a spinner as it tries to go online. While I'm getting on a bus with a toddler. It was the same with a previous phone (moto G3). It's better than having to maintain a pile of change by the front door for the bus, but not exactly stress free. Sooner we scrap bus fares the better!
