Why do I need an app when the T just let's me swipe my card. Waste of time. Should be free with my taxes anyway, the already subsidize the roads, why but public transit

ticket sent me to the wrong zone and I missed my actual train. and before that the app didnt work for months on android. this is where our tax dollars are going I guess.
