What is Screen Reader for Google Chrome?

Screen Reader for Google Chrome is a unique Chrome Extension that uses text-to-speech technology to read web page text aloud. Developed at Google Hackathon 2012, it provides indispensable assistance to visually impaired users by allowing them to select text to be read aloud. Users can choose their preferred voice and adjust settings from the configuration dialog. Works...sort of. Saw the ratings and wanted to see for myself. The main thing is that it works on CERTAIN pages, like Facebook, but not others, like Kindle. So my intended idea of having it read books to me won't work, at least with the Kindle Reader on Chrome for PC.
