Cut List Pro: Plywood Cutting

Enter your parts and the app tells you how many plywood or MDF sheets you need, draws how to cut each sheet in order, and turns it into a client quote and a lumberyard order as PDF.

A cut list optimizer for woodshops, cabinet and closet makers, remodelers and serious DIYers: use it at the panel saw and in front of the client.

No sign-up, no ads, no internet. Everything stays on this phone. Buy once, and that's it. Text can be enlarged in four steps under Settings.

■ Please note first
· Only rectangular panels are handled. Curved or angled parts and linear (bar) cutting are not calculated.
· Layouts use end-to-end cuts like a panel saw or circular saw can make. It tries several orders and keeps the layout with the fewest sheets; it does not prove the optimum.
· Offcuts carry over only between projects with the same material name.
· Cutting fee, edge-application fee and labor on the quote use only values you enter. The app gives no market prices.
· There are no reminders. The job list shows the install date as a countdown.
· Data is stored only on this phone. Use a backup file to move to a new phone.
· No account, no server, no permissions.

■ How it works
1. Create a project: sheet size, blade width, material name (e.g. 3/4" birch plywood)
2. Type in parts (name, width, height, quantity) or import a spreadsheet list (CSV)
3. See new sheets to buy, yield and material cost at once, and the cutting diagram
4. When done, save leftovers to the offcut storage for the next piece
Edit a part and the diagram is recalculated every time, so no stale diagram is left behind.

■ Three documents per job (new)
Group furniture by job (client name, phone, address, install date).
· Quote: sheets, edge banding, cutting (number of saw cuts), edge application and labor for each piece, plus extra items such as hinges, slides, delivery and installation. Subtotal, tax and total on one page, with your shop name, tax ID and bank account
· Material order: same material and size on one line: sheets and meters of edge banding, ready to send to the lumberyard
· Cutting instructions: one page per sheet with letters (A, B, C…) and sizes for every piece and numbered red cut lines with fence distances such as "1. Rip 28¼ · 2. Crosscut 47"
· Plan the same material together: cabinets sharing one plywood are laid out at once to save sheets. The saving shows at the top of the job
· The home screen collects this year's jobs, furniture, sheets and quoted totals

■ Cutting diagram and cut order
Each sheet shows piece names, sizes and the real leftover. Turn on "Show cut order" and the red lines get numbers: cut ① first, edge to edge, and so on. Long rips come first, and each cut-off piece is finished before returning to the rest. The PDF (A4 landscape) lists parts and material cost on page one, then a diagram per sheet.

■ It checks its own result
Every layout is checked for overlap, pieces outside the sheet, blade gaps, fixed grain and piece count; "Layout check passed" appears only when it passes. The minimum sheet count by area is shown too, so you can judge the result. Parts larger than the sheet are listed, never silently dropped.

■ Offcut storage
Leftovers you save are used before new sheets for the next piece in the same material. "Finished cutting" removes the offcuts you used and lets you keep useful new ones. You can also enter boards from your shop by hand.

■ Length units
Millimeters or inches under Settings (inches by default in the US). Everything is stored in millimeters, so switching changes nothing in your data.
