To fix Nitter you can manually edit each bookmark URL you want to change with a new Nitter instance or do the following for a bulk change:
1) Copy working instance of Nitter at https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/wiki/Instances
2) Install "Bookmark URl Batch Replacer" extension from Chrome Web Store
3) Open extension
4) Enter existing URl text to replace in the "Regex Pattern" input box
5) Enter new URL in the "Replacement" input box
(For example: enter "nitter.net" in pattern box and "nitter.moomoo.me" in replacement box)
6) Check "g" for global change in the "Flag" section
7) Click "Preview" button
8) Click option box next to "Name" to select all or select them individually
(Default to replace is ten at a time. see dropdown box on bottom of page to choose up to 100 at a time)
9) Click the "Effect" button to change selected URL's
10) Get to work!
Redirecting to nitter.net no longer works as of Jan. 27 due to the lack of certification but other instances still do. Otherwise it had worked great as intended.
