Other zoom extensions on the Chrome Web Store work on file:/// pages, but this one doesn't. Also the scrollbar to adjust the zoom is so small and just the slightest scrollbar drag will cause the zoom level to change in large increments. I wanted something that was easier to adjust in 1% increments. The scrollbar should be twice as wide and the + and - buttons and reset button should be placed under the scrollbar. There is an input box, so it is easier to use that. But I don't understand why the input box is so tiny. It doesn't jump out as being a place you can input text and it's so small. Make the numbers and box bigger, put a box border around it with rounded corners. Have a blinking cursor in it. And keep the up and down arrows visible at all times. There is no reason for it to be so small and obscure.
