User Reviews
Pros
- Works reliably across Windows and Linux (Firefox).
- Great integration with KeePassXC; fills passwords quickly and securely.
- Improves productivity by reducing manual copy-paste and enabling quick logins.
- Perceived as a strong, well-integrated password manager in the browser.
Cons
- Inconsistent behavior on many websites; field-detection/tool not reliable.
- Inserts the wrong password from other accounts without a selection prompt.
- Non-helpful error messages (e.g., 'Key exchange was not successful').
- Hardcoded path for native messaging host; installation/configuration issues.
- Privacy/configuration restrictions can break the addon and delay fixes/releases.

Thanks for this extension!
One remark: though firefox now honors XDG config settings in $HOME/.config/mozilla/firefox (on Linux) the extension creates a $HOME/.mozilla/native-messaging-hosts. I'd like so see all config for an application on one single place only.

Is KeePassXC-Browser Safe?
Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
KeePassXC-Browser requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.
KeePassXC-Browser has earned a fairly good reputation and likely can be trusted.
